Shadforth is one of the largest family-owned civil contractors in Queensland. Today, Peter’s nephew Ray is at the helm and leads a strong and committed team, delivering projects across Queensland and New South Wales.

They are currently seeking experience persons to join our expanding pipe crews on the Sunshine Coast. 
Applicants must have a high regard for safety and compliance and a minimum 2 year’s experience in the civil pipe laying field covering Sewer, Storm Water and water main installs.

PIPE LAYERS

  • Minimum 2 years full time pipe laying experience
  • Confined space, quick cut, front end loader tickets an advantage
  • Capable of Laying sewer, storm water, water main.
  • Capable of reading and understanding plans and standards
  • Capable of Shooting and reducing levels using Dumpy level
  • Capable of setting up pipe laser

LEAD EXCAVATOR OPERATORS

  • Minimum 5 years lead operating
  • Capable of deep excavations
  • Capable of working in shoring
  • Capable of working in wet ground conditions
  • Capable of using GPS
  • Capable of excavating around existing services

SIDE EXCAVATOR OPERATORS 

  • Minimum 2 years’ operating 20 tonne plus machines
  • Capable of lifting operations using excavator
  • Capable of working in confined areas
  • Capable of following hand signals and instructions
  • Experience lifting shoring, deep trenches, placing pipes and all aspects of back-fill and compaction, will be highly regarded
  • Must be a team player and be able to follow instructions

TOPPY/LABOURER 

  • Minimum 12 months experience in civil pipe crew
  • Confined space, quick cut, front end loader tickets an advantage
  • Fit able and willing to work.

Position Requirements:

  • Current White Card and any relevant tickets and certifications
  • A current Drivers Licence is highly desirable
