As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic legal guidance and oversight to the company's leasing operations. You will lead a team of legal professionals and collaborate closely with senior management to ensure legal compliance, mitigate risks, and drive business objectives forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance to senior management on complex legal matters impacting the company's leasing operations.
  • Lead and manage a team of legal professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support in executing legal tasks and projects effectively.
  • Oversee the review, drafting, and negotiation of leasing agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to enhance legal compliance and mitigate legal risks across the organization.
  • Stay abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the leasing industry and advise management on potential implications.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, finance, and operations teams, to address legal issues and provide proactive solutions.
  • Manage legal disputes and litigation matters, including overseeing external counsel and representing the company's interests in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Conduct legal training sessions for employees to enhance their understanding of legal requirements and promote a culture of compliance.
  • Provide strategic counsel on corporate governance matters, including advising on board matters, corporate policies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable institution; Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Licensed to practice law in Saudi Arabia with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a legal counsel role, preferably in the leasing or financial services sector.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience, including leading legal teams and managing complex legal projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of Saudi Arabian laws and regulations pertaining to leasing, commercial transactions, and corporate governance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to navigate legal complexities and provide pragmatic solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to upholding ethical standards.
