Payroll Officer

Payroll Officer (BBBH6462) Melbourne CBD, Melbourne, Australia

Salary: AUD35 - AUD40 per hour

An exciting opportunity to work for one of Australia’s most recognised Health organisations based in the CBD near public transport. This is starting off as a temporary position with a view for longevity and a potential to become permanent.

About the role

In this role, you’ll be assisting with numerous payroll duties where you will exercise excellent time management and customer service skills within a medium sized team.

Duties:

  • Perform full end to end payroll
  • Process leave calculations, long service, maternity and parental leave.
  • Interpret complex EBA’s and Awards
  • Demonstrate strong customer service to the highest level
  • Offer effective, clear and support communication to colleagues when necessary
  • Adhere to all payroll related queries and manage the payroll query inbox

Skills and Experience

  • Previous strong experience processing full end to end payroll
  • Previous experience in Health is desirable but not essential
  • Strong understanding of EBA’s & Awards
  • Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Proven ability to develop effective partnerships to proactively find solutions and efficiencies in processes
  • Prior system experience using Chris21 or Kronos is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
