Our client is currently looking for a TXS I&C Commissioning Engineer for a Nuclear Power Plant.

Terms and conditions:

Job Location                            : OL3 project, Finland

Type of Assignment                 : Contract hire

Duration                                  :   Until 31/01/2022

Work Schedule                         : 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), 44 hours per week

Accommodation                         : 1 bedroom and living fully furnished and equipped in either Pori or in Rauma

Local Transportation                  : Provided (One car for 2 persons)

Scope (including main skills):

The scope of responsibility of I&C TXS Commissioning Engineer is defined by the I&C Commissioning Branch Head in liaison with the Nuclear Island Commissioning Manager, in accordance with the qualification evaluation and the actual needs.

Under the authority of the TXS commissioning section Lead, the TXS Commissioning Engineer will be in charge of following tasks identified with regard to the phases of the project:

  1. Planning (preparation):
  • Prepare together with the respective process and overall commissioning engineers the tests related to execution of commissioning Phase C and D
  • Assess impact of test execution to the functions embedded in the TXS systems
  • Support process and overall commissioning engineers for the definition of temporary simulations and simulations related to the plan tests
  • Participation in the review of the TXS testing equipment and peripheral testing devices required during commissioning
  • Support in the building of the commissioning time schedule
  • Collect of the I&C system related testing documentation at the applicable reference configuration (e.g. logic diagrams, Result Record Sheets and attachments, engineering master documents)

 

  1. Execution:

Activities linked to I&C systems:

  • Initiation of I&C system isolation process (blocking process) if applicable
  • Performance of the commissioning activities within the entrusted scope under Permit-to-Test (PTT) conditions including the issuance of test reports
  • Supervision of the commissioning activities performed by other personnel in accordance with approved commissioning documents and in compliance with safety and quality rules
  • Check and evaluation of  test reports belonging to his / her I&C system
  • Troubleshooting and analysis activities
  • Management of temporary changes on site and outstanding issues (open points) for the I&C system within his / her scope
  • On-the-job Training of operation and maintenance personnel on I&C systems in his / her scope
  • Enforcement of the IT-Security and HSE rules including applicable PTT / PTW processes
  • Management of the interface with the maintenance team
  • Activities linked to the support of process (mechanical, HVAC, …) Commissioning Engineers:
  • Review test procedures and define simulations – scripts and testing tools to be implemented for the execution of the tests
  • Execute the tests under the supervision of the system commissioning Engineer
  • Assist to the preparation of the test reports including the assessment of the I&C test outcomes
  • Support to troubleshooting activities
  1. Control and monitoring:
  • Provide inputs to progress measurement and reporting linked to his / her I&C system
  • Initiate corrective actions in case of deviations
  1. Closure:

The completion of the commissioning activities related to the entrusted I&C system is sanctioned by following events:

  • Closing-out of all I&C system open points assigned to I&C Commissioning branch
  • As part of the support provided to the commissioning of process systems, following activities need to be completed:
  • Successful issue of process SCR and PCR (Phase Commissioning Report) for their TXS I&C system portions
  • Closing-out of all open points assigned to other commissioning branches and involving TXS I&C system
