MIG Welder - Stockbridge 

Salary: 31,200–£35,360 per annum (DOE)

Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm | Friday 8:00am–2:00pm

Role Overview

We’re recruiting a MIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing workshop producing frames and enclosures. This is a hands-on role welding aluminium and steel using jigs/fixtures to ensure consistent, repeatable builds and quality output.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG weld aluminium and steel components for frames and enclosures  
• Use jigs/fixtures to set up parts accurately and maintain repeatability  
• Work from engineering drawings and weld symbols  
• Prepare and fit materials prior to welding (cleaning, dressing, tacking, alignment)  
• Complete visual checks on welds, carry out rework where required  
• Maintain weld quality and productivity in line with workshop targets  
• Follow health & safety procedures and keep your work area clean and organised  
• Flag any jig/fixture issues, fit-up problems, or quality concerns to support continuous improvement

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven MIG welding experience on aluminium and steel  
• Experience welding in a production environment using jigs/fixtures  
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings  
• Good attention to detail and a quality-first approach  
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work to deadlines
