The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a major project based at Dungeness.

You will take overall responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are delivered to agreed time, cost and quality targets while complying with all relevant statutory, regulatory and project management requirements.

Working within a highly regulated environment, you will provide leadership, governance and stakeholder management across the full project lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction, commissioning and completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a clear project vision and proactively lead the project team towards agreed objectives.

  • Take overall responsibility for safe project delivery against time, cost and quality targets.

  • Provide project leadership, management and governance in line with established project management processes and procedures.

  • Ensure projects and work packages meet business and commercial requirements.

  • Manage internal and external customers and stakeholders effectively.

  • Define project delivery baselines and manage project controls, including requirements, planning, cost, risk, trends and change control.

  • Resource and manage multidisciplinary project teams, securing specialist resources where required.

  • Ensure all project documentation is maintained to the required standards.

  • Develop and manage project risk and opportunity plans, implementing appropriate mitigation measures.

  • Consider value engineering opportunities and potential changes to project scope, schedule and forecast costs.

  • Produce project performance information, including critical path analysis, float erosion, milestones, CPI, SPI and EVA.

  • Lead CDM activities in accordance with project Health, Safety and Environment requirements.

  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with applicable statutory, regulatory and organisational requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable project management experience within a highly regulated industry, including engineering, procurement, construction or construction management.

  • Significant Project Management experience within the nuclear or highly regulated sector, ideally 10+ years.

  • Experience delivering large-scale construction projects (£10m+) across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to operation.

  • Experience of performing functional project tasks with an understanding of established project management processes and procedures.

  • Strong understanding of project controls, cost, risk, planning and change management.

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and complex stakeholder environments.

  • Strong understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, including CDM.
