Salary: AUD96000 - AUD114000 per annum + super + attractive package

cmr has partnered with a leading Aboriginal Health Service seeking an experienced Dietitian / Public Health Nutritionist to join their team on a permanent basis, based in Darwin, NT and servicing remote West Arnhem communities.

 

About the Role

You will provide clinical dietetic, public health nutrition and health promotion services across 5 remote communities. You will partner with Aboriginal communities, health teams and local organisations to improve nutrition and health outcomes through culturally safe, community-led practice.

 

This role would suit someone who enjoys travel and is passionate about remote community health.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver clinical dietetic services within your scope.
  • Develop and evaluate community nutrition and health promotion programs.
  • Work with schools, community stores and aged care services.
  • Provide nutrition advice to health teams and community stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, community members and service providers.
  • Contribute to KPIs, reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Travel regularly to five remote communities, generally Monday–Thursday.

About You

  • Dietetics qualification with current or eligible APD status
  • Experience in clinical dietetics, public health nutrition and/or community development
  • Understanding of Aboriginal health and culturally safe practice
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently across geographically dispersed communities
  • Ochre Card eligibility and satisfactory Criminal History Check
  • Willingness to travel regularly to remote communities

 

Experience working in an ACCHO or remote Aboriginal community is highly desirable.
