Premier Work Support are recruiting Ground Handling Agents / Baggage Handlers at London Stansted Airport for an immediate start, working a minimum of 30 hours per week, with the opportunity to work additional hours. Basic responsibilities will include loading/unloading different types of aircraft, marshalling passengers, driving and operating specialist equipment and maintaining a safe working environment at all times. You will be working as part of a team to ensure that the ground handling of passenger aircraft is coordinated efficiently and safely.
We are ideally looking for candidates who have previous experience of manual handling and working within a team. This is a 24/7 operation, which operates outdoors in all weathers. You will be required to work shifts, which will include days, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays, with the start time being as early as 2.00am. Full uniform and training will be provided to successful candidates, with the opportunity to gain further industry skills as you gain experience. There are vast progression opportunities for Ground Handling Agents and fully paid training will be provided every step of the way.
You will be required to provide current and valid photographic identification, proof of your national insurance number, a full driving licence and a 5 year checkable education/ employment history. You will have no unspent criminal convictions and live within an hour commute of Stansted Airport. Please note, it is vital that you are able to meet this criteria or we will be unable to consider your application.
The starting salary is £8.80 per hour, increasing to £9.58 after 12 weeks and then £11.16 after 12 months. Free on-site parking is available and there is a discount of up to 80% available for staff travel to and from Stansted Airport; as well as staff discounts in many of the airport retail outlets.
