Warehouse Operatives

Gi Group is currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives to join the core fulfilment team at a premier online gifting brand in Tamworth. This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive hourly rates, consistent weekly hours, and excellent long-term career progression for dedicated individuals.

This role is ideal for anyone with previous experience as a Warehouse Operative, Picker Packer, Production Operative, Parcel Sorter, Fulfilment Assistant, or Packing Operative.

Rates of Pay

Before 12 Weeks

Standard Core Hours (12:30 – 22:30 / Weekdays) (12:00 – 21:30 / Weekends)

£13.29 per hour (Basic Rate)

£19.94 per hour (Overtime Rate)

Unsocial Hours Premium (23:00 – 06:00):

£19.94 per hour (Basic Rate)

£23.92 per hour (Overtime Rate)

After 12 Weeks

Flexibility: Work is available across a 7-day rota, with shifts booked on a weekly basis to suit business needs.

Your Day-to-Day Duties

• Working in a highly organised, modern environment, your day will involve:
• Accurately selecting and packing customer orders (including personalized mugs, cards, gift vouchers, balloons, chocolates, and gifts).
• Safely moving, organizing, and managing stock levels across the warehouse floors.
• Using handheld digital scanners and standard fulfilment equipment.
• Preparing, labelling, and boxing up completed orders for final dispatch.
• Performing regular stock checks and maintaining accurate digital or written records.
• Working to daily performance targets and KPIs while keeping your workspace clean and tidy.
• Handling packaged alcohol products securely where required.
• Always adhering strictly to site health and safety protocols.

What You Need to Succeed

Skills: A basic level of written and spoken English, paired with strong communication skills.

Attitude: A positive, flexible approach, excellent punctuality, and the ability to thrive in a team.

Compliance: You must provide proof of your Right to Work in the UK and be comfortable handling packaged alcohol.

Assessments: Ability to successfully pass a basic site English and numeracy test prior to starting.

Desirable but Not Essential: Previous warehouse or packing experience, or familiarity with handheld scanners (full industry-specific training and ongoing support will be provided).
