Manpower is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to work for our client, JIFFY mixes (Chelsea Milling Company), in Chelsea, Michigan. This is a full-time, direct hire position likely to be on third (3rd) shift working 11pm-7am.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Verifying the execution of quality systems and processes.
• Ensuring that operations personnel are completing quality checks in various departments.
• Performing inspections of finished product, ingredients, and materials at all stages of processing.
• Conducting internal quality audit systems.
• Performing finished product testing on every batch produced and performing one random bake from shift.
• Auditing lot codes recorded for ingredients by comparing lot code recorded on log to lot code of ingredient used.
• Collaborating with other QA technicians and operations personnel in a team effort to identify potential quality issues, communicate them thoroughly, seek prompt resolution, and verify resolution with follow-up.

Desired qualifications include, but are not limited to:
• Minimum of an associate’s degree in a scientific field; bachelor’s preferred.
• Two (2) + years of analytical/quality lab experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working in the food/beverage industry preferred.
