Knowledge Management Consultant

Provide knowledge management support for a research community adapting to a new method of collaboration in a Microsoft SharePoint environment. The consulting activities will include:

1 Providing support and training to the business users of Microsoft SharePoint.
2. Assisting in the design of upgrades to search and archive systems.
3. Assisting the Information Center staff with data analysis.

Requirements
• Strong end-user skills in Microsoft SharePoint 2010 including Search and Records Center
• Experience in troubleshooting end-user issues
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with teams, and motivation to provide responsive customer service.
• Experience in training end-users
• Ability to create macros in MS Office products
• Experience in Microsoft InfoPath 2010 is a plus
• Strong functional analysis skills and the ability to identify, define, and document key business requirements.
• Experience with database design
• Understanding of search index tuning and complex search queries
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer) and Adobe PDF.
• Basic understanding of chemical and chemical engineering terminology, especially related to the petrochemical process industry is a plus
• Ability to multitask and remain flexible as priorities change
