What is the Job?
• Responsible for all material handling needs, primarily picking warehoused parts and product and preparing it for shipment.
• Work closely with internal staff and carriers to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand.
• The Material Handler will be required to achieve company standards for safety, quality, and productivity. This position reports directly to the Distribution Center Supervisor.
• Safely operate all material handling equipment including forklifts and/or pallet movers
• Do a wide range of warehouse functions; labeling, replenishing, box making, loading/unloading trailers
• Placing product onto a pallet
• Shrink wrapping pallets
• Move pallets with a manual pallet jack
• Fulfill and organize orders to ensure customer delivery process is efficient and accurate.

What do you bring to the Job?
• High school diploma or equivalent (such as a GED)
• Dock/warehouse experience in the transportation industry
• Forklift experience loading and unloading trailers
• Ability to follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
• Lift/pull/push 1-25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds infrequently, Able to work on a standing work environment.
• Prior warehouse training or experience is preferred but not required
• Steel-toed boots
• Ability to read and understand English to effectively read product descriptions, labels, shelves, and other product documents
• Ability to understand basic math to ensure accurate product quantities
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
• Basic computer skills needed for employment
