We are looking for a Logistician for one of our clients with the following details:  

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 11 Months

Location: Namibia - Arandis

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position (mining industry is preferred)
• Experience in multicultural context
• Fluent in English, written and spoken

Responsibilities:

• Manage the team supplies, materials and products
• Respect and strictly apply company procedures
• Oversee supply chain processes on site, such as inventory, warehouse spaces and transportation services used
• Anticipate the needs and assist with the purchase order process
• Organize logistic activities as per the schedule; the delivery of samples to the lab (in Namibia and abroad if required) will be the principal activity.
• Identifying ways to improve logistical operations on site during drilling campaign.
• Analyse factors that affect the logistic on site and propose relevant adjustments.
• Collect and consolidate the data on supply chain processes for the follow-up and based on this propose process improvement
• Collaborate permanently with other departments to improve processes.

Key Skills:

• Have demonstrated experience in industrial environment (mining, oil& gas ...)
• In depth knowledge of Namibian regulation and procedures related to logistic
• Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Have strong team relationship skills in multicultural context.
• Ability to prepare report
• Be self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible.
• Be health, safety, and quality focused.
• Agile, quickly adapts to changing conditions during project development
• Demonstrate initiative
• Customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong communication skills with all categories of stakeholders in the project
