We are looking for a Warehouse Worker for one of our clients with the following details:  

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 3 – 4 Weeks

Location: Namibia - Arandis

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Certification: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Beginners are welcome.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics is a plus.
• Language: Fluent in English written and spoken. Basics in French is a plus.
• Main skills: Ability to follow detailed instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency with inventory systems and computer software is preferred.
• Physical stamina for lifting, moving, and organizing heavy sample containers.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Driving license

Responsibilities:

Sorting of Geological Samples

• Follow the instructions of the geologist to sort samples currently stored in poor conditions. Check the quality of the storage bags, and if necessary, repackage the samples. Be sure all samples are easily identifiable by tags.

Inventory and record-keeping

• Create a list of all samples in the storage containers and verify the concordance with the waited sample list. Identify all missing samples.
• Storage and organization
• Re-organized the complete sample set on adapted shelves, following the storing instructions, to ensure an easy and quick future sample location.

Safety and compliance

• Follow all safety protocols for handling and storing samples.
• Participate in safety briefings and report any observed hazards or issues.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and always adhere to site safety guidelines.
• Team management and collaboration
• Communicate effectively with the Geologists and other team members.
• Provide support to geologists in other requested handling work.
• Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment.
