Frontend Developer (RL11494) York, England

Castle Technology Division are looking for a frontend developer to join a busy development team to work and a number of large projects. The ideal candidate we have at least 4 years experience in a commercial environment and have a real passion for development. This is a lead development role where you will have the opportunity to support and guide the other developer in the team.
Roles and responsibilities
- Converting designs from the marketing team and turning their ideas into web pages and applications
- Ensuring all assets and code is optimised for all devises
- Resolving and defects and bugs that are reported
- Monitoring and reviewing application performance
- Estimating and planning with the team getting ready for implementation
- Developing functional tests
- Creating prototypes to ensure that the web pages/ applications are functioning correctly before going live
- Reviewing other team member's code
- Have the ability to support and lead member of the team
- Working closely with the marketing team to ensure all marketing goals are achieved
Skills and Experience
- Ideally at least 4 years commercial experience in the development world
- Strong understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
- Knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript design
- Experience with automating testing
- A good understanding of performance optimisation
- Understanding of common UX/UI design patterns and standard conventions
- Experience with version control systems
- Experience with AngularJS, Ember, Backbone or other JavaScript frameworks
- A talents candidate that has a real desire for creating code
- Beneficial to have experience with creative suite products such a Photoshop or Indesign
As a developer ideally you will have a portfolio as well as a CV
