Currently our client is seeking some Skilled Labourers with concrete repair/remediation experience to assist with some works in Abbots Point, Bowen for the repair/upgrade of the Northern Coal Port Export.

We are sourcing candidates in the local area of Bowen, however, this role does include paid accommodation, travel and living away from home allowances. 

Scope of the project:

• Concrete repair for the Coal Port.
• Skilled labouring duties - repetitive, physical tasks, manual labouring.
• Working in tight spaces - confined space ticket not required.
• Cutting concrete cancer.
• Use of hand and power tools - grinders/jackhammers.
• Pumping grout/concrete.
• Steel strengthening.
• Assisting with the installation of cathodic protection systems.
• Cutting steel members for access platforms.

• Roster will be 10:4
• Project end date - DEC 2024.

All applicants will have:

• Experience working in Remedial Concreting or similar experience.
• Familiarity with steel strengthening, carbon-fibre strengthening and coatings.
• Recently fit tested in the last 12 months.
• Construction White Card.
• SARC card.
• Open driver's license.
• Telehandler, gantry crane dogman or boilermaker tickets/qualifications - highly desirable.
• Ability to pass a D & A screening.
