- Position: Kitchen Porter for 2Gether Support Solutions
- Location: Margate, Kent (QEQM Hospital)
- Hourly rate: £9.58 + Holiday pay (rate enhancements for weekends and bank holidays)
- Duration: 6 months+
- Hours: 37.5hrs week (full-time)

The Kitchen Porter role:
As a key member of the catering team at 2Gether Support Solutions you will be completing a variety of duties which will contribute to the smooth running of the department and maintaining the high standards 2Gether Support Solutions set out to deliver.
Duties will include:
- Loading and unloading catering deliveries and equipment using the procedures and equipment provided (training will be provided).
- Replenishment of stock and stock rotation.
- Ensuring work spaces are sanitised inline with working procedures and policies.
- Ensuring equipment is properly stored and all issues are recorded and reported to the line manager.
- Quality assurance on stock which includes checking in goods against delivery notes and quality checks on the goods/supplies.
- Washing of cutlery, crockery and food preparation equipment.
- Providing assistance in the preparation of food as and when required.
Key qualities:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach.
- Health and safety awareness.
- Good communication with management, departments and patients.
- Flexible attitude and strong work ethic.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in catering or hospitality positions is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred but training will be provided and you will gain a certificate in food hygiene.
- Eligible to work in the United Kingdom
- 2 current proofs of address.
- Happy to undergo relevant training including non-clinical along and food hygiene.
- Access to transport will be an advantage when applying for this role.
