Competent service engineer to work and travel in West Midlands area installing and servicing wireless nurse call systems in hospitals and care homes.

The Role

As Field Installation and Service Engineer you will be responsible for installing and servicing wireless nurse call systems in hospitals and care homes You will also be on an on-call rota to support out of hours work for which an allowance is paid.

All employees are provided with a van, tools, training, and equipment to carry out the work correctly. Initial product training will be carried out at Head Office in Poole.

Work will generally be in West Midlands area within a 2½ hours’ drive, but on occasion you may have to travel further with an overnight stay.

The Company

Our client offers a professional service from an initial consultation through to the installation and commissioning of Radio Nurse Call Systems recommended to the client. They also provide comprehensive after-sales support of equipment, which is used extensively in both hospitals and care homes.  Head office is based in Poole, Dorset.

The Person

As Field Installation and Service Engineer you will ideally have some experience in a similar role. An understanding of wireless systems would be beneficial but comprehensive training will be provided. Qualified electricians are encouraged to apply, and those with experience of intruder, fire or personal call alarms.  You will need the following:

  • competent to connect PSUs and Display Panels to mains supplied fused spurs
  • personable disposition and able to work alone
  • good attention to detail and a high standard of care

As you will be working in close proximity to vulnerable people in nursing homes, hospitals, and other sensitive locations and DBS checks will be required.

The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 require that from 11 November 2021, all care home workers and other visiting professionals will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they have an exemption.
