Results driven Production Controller for North Somerset based design & manufacturing / engineering business
The Role
As Production Controller you will manage day to day production matters ensuring safe working practices are maintained, and customer quality and delivery requirements are met. Your responsibilities will include:
- daily supervision & management of the production team
- monitoring production activity to agreed delivery dates / quality standards
- executing production planning in liaison with the Head of Operations
- promoting H&S Best Practice / adherence to group HSE policy
- regular meetings and reporting of KPI data / status / forecasts etc.
- training & development program to improve skills and capabilities of team
- Continuous Improvement of site production systems & procedures
The Company
Our client is a South West based manufacturing company supplying a blue chip customer base with bespoke engineered products. They have a large manufacturing and warehousing facility, a team of first class multi-project engineers and are led by a hands on business entrepreneur and owner.
The Person
As Production Controller, you will have relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. You will be familiar with Best Practice manufacturing techniques with good problem-solving skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure including:
- good communication and management skills
- ability to read engineering and technical drawings
- good understanding of Health & Safety regulations
- a ‘can do’ attitude
Hours of work are Mondays to Thursdays 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and Fridays 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
