The Role
As Lead Software Test Engineer – Energy you will manage testing across Billing, Smart Meters and Energy Industry Integrations. You will test solutions that impact the Gentrack Billing system, Energy Industry Flows and Smart (“System in Scope”), and will also be responsible for:
- creation & maintenance of test strategy & methodology / investigative testing
- working with Product Owners & testers to agree deployment of end solutions
- managing the test scope / testing process for regular releases of the Billing System
- determining approach to support testing of Smart solutions from Billing to Smart Meter
- creating test plans for individual projects based upon user stories / acceptance criteria

The Person
As Software Test Engineer you will have experience in the energy billing systems business. With knowledge & experience of the retail energy sector / smart metering / billing systems / data analysis / end to end delivery processes, you will also need knowledge / experience of:
- Gentrack Junifer system / Smart meter solutions / Agile methodologies
- AFMS platform / uSmart platform from ESG
- testing mobile applications & web based systems
- Salesforce / AI and automation
If you also have excellent verbal / interpersonal skills, capability to manage stakeholders’ expectations, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on time critical common goals then we need to talk.
You’ll be joining the company at an early stage and will be able to adapt to change and love doing things differently. This role can either be worked from the office or a mixture of remote and office.
