Project Manager – Loft Conversion / Fully Skilled Carpenter North Somerset
£35,000 p.a. to £44,000 p.a. + bonus + commission
Exciting opportunity for Professional Loft Conversion Carpenter. Working Foreman needed for successful, expanding construction business operating across North Somerset and Bristol
The Role
As Working Foreman / Loft Conversion Project Manager, you will lead a project team on all domestic projects ( loft conversion / bespoke building projects ). As a fully skilled Carpenter your responsibilities will be:
- supervision & leadership of all labour on site
- responsibility for quality control & safety on site
- oversee / monitor productivity ( in-house / contractor )
- all project administration / customer liaison
- working to project plans / timetables to ensure customer satisfaction

With a strong network of loyal customers, and a well-earned reputation for outstanding quality and customer care, they are undergoing a rapid expansion phase. Based in North Somerset, work is undertaken mainly in & around Portishead, Bristol, Clevedon, Weston-S-Mare, Bridgwater & Taunton.
The Person
As Builder / Loft Conversion Carpenter, solid practical experience in loft conversions is essential, as this is the core business of the company, you may also have plumbing qualifications/experience, but this is not essential. Ambitious, target orientated, customer focused and reliable you must be a Fully Skilled Carpenter and have the following practical construction skills:
- roof configuration
- floorplan installation – joists & steel work
- dormer construction
- 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
- understanding of electrics & plumbing etc
- ability to read / understand architects drawings / structural calculations
- knowledge of building control inspections / regulations
Your own transport and tools are essential to this role.
