The Role
As Trainee Fire & Flood Restoration Technician you will receive training to become a fully proficient fire & flood technician. Your responsibilities will include:
- safeguarding property against secondary damage
- removing / securing all salvageable contents / personal belongings
- restoration of valuable items ( antiques / fine arts / clothing / electronic equipment )
- removing smoke & soot damage / odour & contaminations
- extracting water ( injection / suction drying )
- sanitising and decontamination
The Company
Our client is an expanding business based in Somerset, they have potential opportunities for trainees based in Somerset and Cornwall. They specialise in restoring properties that have been damaged by flood and fire, restoring anything from pipe works to furniture. They are busy, successful and expanding
The Person
As Trainee Fire & Flood Technician you may already have a background in construction, trade, furniture, carpets and upholstery restoration, asbestos removal, or domestic and commercial cleaning but this is in no way essential. More important is your positive attitude, good teamwork and self-motivation as full training will be given. You will also have:
- good organisation skills / attention to detail
- good customer service / communication skills
- ability to move furniture
- full driving licence
