Senior Demand Planning / Forecasting Analyst for London import & distribution business
The Role
As Senior Forecasting / Demand Planning / Supply Chain Analyst, you will provide leadership and management to the supply chain team, developing annual plans to deliver strategic business targets whilst managing the company cash flow and stock budget. You will build a high-performance dynamic forecasting module, wssi and data management system using your statistical modelling and forecasting skills to analyse customer sales data. Key responsibilities include:
- Support the buying team to manage product life cycles, range planning and forecasting
- Assessment and optimisation of product ranges and SKU rationalisation
- Develop and implement improvements to the merchandising / forecasting processes
- Manage Purchase Orders based on demand planning / supplier requirements
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure products are produced/shipped/delivered correctly
- Coordinate planned product promotions, stock rotations and discontinued sales
- Own Bi-weekly merchandising and stock meetings to resolve all issues
This role sits on the Senior Leadership Team and feeds into the company-wide strategic and operational business planning sessions, developing strong working relationships with the Sales, Buying, Customer Service and Management teams and liaising between them.

The Person
As Senior Supply Chain Analyst you will have substantial experience in a logistics, distribution andr warehousing environment. With strong project management skills, stock planning, and supply chain knowledge you will also have:
- Strong organisational and people management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create, deliver and visualise strategies
- Proficiency in applied maths / statistics used to create forecasts
- Experience in product forecasting
- Ability to think analytically and creatively;
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot-tables, VLOOKUP / Index / Match / VBA
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics Nav and SQL queries and report writing
