Draughstman / CAD Technician Keynsham Bristol / Bath £30,000 p.a. + benefits
The Role
You will provide detailed CAD design, drawings and draughtsman services to the business with responsibilities including:
- Draw and issue mechanical part drawings for manufacture
- Draw general assembly drawings with part identification
- Create parts lists of manufactured and bought out items
- Support sales with line layout drawings and technical information
- Support sales with materials required for marketing
- Assist with updates and modifications to standard machines
- Generate technical documentation and machine manuals
- Support purchasing department with spare parts information
- Assist with parts manufacture quotation process•
This is a diverse role for a technically minded person with experience in detailed technical drawing / parts / engineering / CAD / projects etc. who is comfortable working with customers and suppliers with machine drawings and engineered specifications.
The Company
Our client is a growing business with a rapidly increasing base of existing and new carton, paper and flexible packaging machinery installations with customers in the UK and internationally.
The Person
The ideal Draughtsman / CAD Technician will have a relevant qualification or technical background with some experience in a similar role. Experience within the cartonboard, machinery or general consumer packaging sector would be ideal but is by no means essential.
You will need to be proficient in AutoCAD, Solidworks and Microsoft Office applications and be prepared to travel upon occasion to customer sites.
