Great opportunity to join a successful Bristol based manufacturing business as a Design Draughtsman
The Role
The Draughtsman / Parts Coordinator will be responsible for purchasing machine parts, managing technical parts list and planning projects to ensure all technical drawings and engineered items purchased comply with agreed specifications.
This is a diverse role for a technically minded person with experience in technical drawing / parts / engineering / CAD / projects / purchasing / buying etc. who is comfortable working with customers and suppliers with machine drawings and engineered specifications. An understanding of detailed drawing work is required and responsibilities will include:
- drawings for machine part production
- purchasing machine parts
- drawing modifications / updates to achieve improvements / cost saving
- detailed general assembly drawings to assist with assembly / customer part identification
- layout / line drawings to assist with sales
You will also provide customer support and technical information as required.

Our client is a growing business with a rapidly increasing base of existing and new carton, paper and flexible packaging machinery installations with customers in the UK and internationally.
The Person
The ideal Draughtsman / Parts Coordinator will have a relevant qualification or technical background with some experience in a similar role. (Any previous experience within the carton / corrugated / folding box board or packaging sector would be ideal but is by no means essential).
You must be able to problem solve and act on your own initiative, with good communication, organisation and customer support skills.
