The Role
As Wellbeing and Health & Safety Coordinator you will focus on supporting implementation, delivery and communication of Health & Safety, Safeguarding and wellbeing activities, acting as point of contact for employees. Your responsibilities will include:
- training / coordinating internal team of designated mental health first aiders
- providing advice & guidance to line managers on employee health related concerns
- analysing data re. employee absence, identifying initiatives to mitigate this
- managing referrals to occupational health and supporting return to work processes
- regular review of Employee Assistance Programme / promoting mental & physical wellbeing
- monthly H&S facility checks / responsibility for employee H&S training
- supporting HR department in management of recruitment and risk assessments

The Person
As Wellbeing and Health & Safety Coordinator you will have a relevant qualification ( Mental Health / First Aid / Health & Safety ) and you will have dealt with individuals experiencing poor mental health and wellbeing concerns. Ideally with an understanding of HR policy and employment law you will also have:
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- understanding of Wellbeing, H&S and Safeguarding
- excellent communication skills
- good organisation / ability to prioritise
The role is a contract role covering maternity leave and will be for up to 12 months only.
