London based opportunity for Commercial Assistant with leading importer & distributor
THE ROLE
As Commercial Assistant you will work closely with the Sales Director and National Sales Manager in supporting business development with national accounts. Ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service your responsibilities will include:
- establishing an understanding of both internal and external systems
- providing accurate and timely information
- working with managers on product development and sample development
- processing sales and purchase orders
- monitoring sales performance
- communicating the customers’ requirements to the wider business
THE COMPANY
Our London based client is one of Europe’s leading importers and distributors of quality textile products from around the world. They operate from offices and two large warehousing facilities in the UK with their own dedicated sourcing offices / fulfilment centres in China, India, and Turkey.
THE PERSON
As a Commercial Assistant you will have some relevant experience in retail head office or similar. Self-motivated, capable of working on your own initiative, and dedicated to providing first class customer service you will also have:
- accuracy and attention to detail
- strong communication skills and good literacy / numeracy
- knowledge of Word / Excel / Outlook
- knowledge of Adobe and/or website content management
- a passion for product and service
