The Role
As Finance Assistant you will be assisting the Finance Managing to ensure effective running of the finance function of the business. You will be responsible for a number of accounting functions and will require some experience of working in a similar role. Your responsibilities will include:
- Purchase ledger and Credit control
- Credit checking & account opening
- Bank & credit card reconciliations
- Maintaining petty cash
- Preparing month end payment run
- Providing general administrative support
- Assist the Finance Manager as required
The Company
Our client is the UK’s leading supplier of fibre cement roofing sheets to farming and agriculture. The production facility and distribution centre provides a seamless supply chain of the finest roofing systems and building products for the agricultural, industrial and domestic sectors – direct to clients from the factory floor. They are based near Bridgwater, Somerset and have been supporting farmers in the UK for the last 40 years, sponsoring local livestock markets and supporting agricultural events.
It is an easy commute from Bristol, Weston super Mare or Taunton.
The Person
Ideally working towards an AAT qualification with some experience of working in a similar role. You will also have:
- good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- excellent organisational skills
