Experienced Works Supervisors needed for London based company installing fibre broadband across UK 

The Role

As Works Supervisor – Civils / PIA your role is to ensure that cabling gangs are working safely, compliantly and meeting quality standards as defined within BT Open Reach PIA documents and contractual commitments on a day-to-day basis, within the time, cost, quality triangle. Based in the field and with some office based work requirements, your responsibilities will include:

  • supervision of all associated FTTH / FTTP activities
  • overseeing excavation / duct installation / reinstatement work on public highways
  • coordinating teams ( directly employed & sub-contractors ) to ensure targets are met
  • ensure works & services implemented as per contract requirements
  • organise / present tool box talks / manage on site Health & Safety
  • liaise with client / project planning
  • complete relevant audit reporting

The Company

Our client works in partnership with ISPs providing full fibre network connectivity across London and the south east. They are expanding due to the growth and demand for fibre broadband network and require a team of support staff to enable to growth and success of the business.

The Person

As Works Supervisor you will already have previous experience in a similar role in the civils and PIA industry.  With a strong focus on H&S and experience working with design schematics, duct diagrams and works instructions, you will have the following skills & knowledge:

  • good communication, IT and time management skills
  • self motivation, accuracy and attention to detail
  • full driving licence
  • ability to interpret daily work logs / data recordings / network design maps
  • analytical / problem solving skills
  • good at relationship building
