The Role
As Business Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for provision of high-quality BI solutions, driving reporting & analysis across a large scale technical modernisation programme. Responsibilities will include:
- developing Business Analytics Dashboards / performing ad-hoc data analysis
- analysis of external data sources and provision of comprehensive relational BI reporting
- supporting BI lifecycle through design & development, to release and support phases
- compilation & analysis of commercial & financial data to identify trends
- liaison with colleagues & technology partners / training team members

The Person
As Business Intelligence Analyst you will have worked on projects with multiple IT resources & business partners. An experienced BI Developer & Data Analyst with background in data warehouse design / data mining you will have experience / knowledge of:
- writing SQL queries, data mining and visualisation techniques
- working in an iterative / agile delivery environment
- database management systems, on-line analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL frameworks
- Microsoft Power BI / Cognos / Tableau / SQL queries / SSRS / SSIS
- business change and software development life cycle processes
- Python (or other scripting language e.g. C++, Ruby, PowerShell)
- Cloud technologies & platforms (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS)
