Director of Commercial Strategy, Policy and Revenue Growth for multinational

The Role

As Commercial Director you will manage the commercial strategy, policy and processes of the business including all revenue generation, costing and pricing dynamics, customer retention and retailing initiatives. You will capitalise on market growth opportunities to deliver positive social, economic and corporate benefit, overseeing the stakeholder engagement strategy and managing the delivery of challenging commercial forecast, plan and budgets. Responsibilities include:

  • developing and delivering business strategy to achieve forecast and planned profit targets
  • designing / delivering customer and media stakeholder engagement and retention strategies
  • leading on company subsidiary and project initiatives and innovation strategies

Our client is a major European business with B2C customer focused activities throughout the UK and is a major successful and still growing player in their market sector.

The Person

As Commercial Director you will have a track record of delivering profitable revenue growth in a (group wide) commercial business with successful leadership experience from a public facing, customer focused sector. With a relevant marketing or business qualification, the role requires:

  • strong commercial awareness / robust management approach
  • ability to forecast, plan, measure and deliver financial targets
  • commercial / digital marketing / ‘smart’ retailing knowledge
  • communication, influencing and negotiating skills
  • excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • political astuteness and resilience

A background in a transportation, air, rail, retail, hospitality, customer service public facing business would be relevant.
