Nursery Manager           near Bristol, North Somerset                  £28,000 to £37,500 p.a. + benefits d.o.e.

Fantastic opportunity for experienced Nursery Manager at a preparatory school set in beautiful park land on outskirts of Bristol

THE ROLE

As Nursery Manager, you will be a vital member of the broader school community, committed to developing the already impressive efficiency & performances of this exceptionally busy Nursery School. Whilst promoting the health, safety and wellbeing of the children and ensuring discipline and behaviour, your responsibilities will include:

• leading on sales & admissions and the financial efficiency of the business
• ensuring robust safeguarding policies are observed
• managing budget in conjunction with school Bursar
• ensuring compliance with OFSTED and ISI guidelines / requirements
• communicating effectively with all children, colleagues, parents and stakeholders
• organising open days, parents’ days, seasonal celebrations etc.
• providing regular reports to governors
• forging close links with the wider school community
• managing parent queries / issues as required with the school Head
• liaising with HR on recruitment, staff training and development

Our client is a thriving Nursery School in a beautiful parkland setting on the outskirts of Bristol with exceptional facilities including a forest school, a large all weather outdoor play area and light, spacious and airy rooms for each age group. 

THE PERSON

As Nursery Manager, you will have previous experience in a nursery or similar education management role with relevant qualifications, knowledge and experience of Early Years Education and Care (Level 5 ideal but training towards this will be supported). You will need:

• understanding of Early Years education
• strong verbal and written communication skills
• ability to manage and work as part of a team
• strong computer literacy and numeracy
• honesty, reliability, enthusiasm and commitment
