Senior Software Developer for successful Bristol based business developing next generation SaaS platform for vocational training / education sector

The Role
As Senior Software Developer, you will work as part of an agile team delivering on a fortnightly sprint cycle, building functional, robust and performant systems to meet the acceptance criteria defined by the product owner. You will work closely with the product owner, manual and automation test engineers and other members of the team to deliver a first-class system for end users. Responsibilities will include:
- Influencing / engaging in high level architectural design sessions & technical roadmap planning
- mentoring more junior developers
- refining requirements, designing and implementing solutions
- offering technical input into product design
- involvement in the long-term technical development of the platform

Utilising the latest cloud technology, its platform provides a true end-to-end, integrated learner management and e-portfolio solution – enabling independent training providers, employers, and colleges to manage, drive and maximise their student programmes. As the UK economy re-emerges from the pandemic there is unprecedented interest and support from both Government and business for apprenticeships and other related skills training. Our client is well placed to benefit from the upskilling agenda with demand for the platform quickly growing. You'll be based in fantastic new offices with fantastic views over Bristol, with roof terrace and its own gym.
Post lockdown there will be a flexible approach to blended working – combining working from home with 2 / 3 days in the office.
The Person
As Senior Software Developer you will have solid technical ability and a willingness to explore and learn new technologies. With excellent communication skills you will have practical experience in:
- C# .NET, Angular 4.0 or similar
- REST / API Development
- Typescript / Javascript / HTML / CSS
- Agile Development / Scrum
- Sql Server / ASP.NET MVC
Experience in some of the following would also be an advantage: NoSql Databases / CosmosDb / Entity Framework, NPM / Redux, Microservices / SOA Architecture / NServicebus / Messaging Architectures, Azure / Continuous Integration & Delivery / Git, Dependency Injection / IoC, ElasticSearch / Kibana, Identity Server / OAuth / Claim Based Authentication.
