Forecasting Analyst required for successful textile importer & distributor in North London

The Role

As Forecasting / Demand Planning Analyst, you will use your statistical modelling, forecasting and planning skills to analyse, interpret and validate customer sales data throughout the supply chain. You will create models for demand planning and forecasting, monitoring product and stock movement from point of order to receipt. Responsibilities include:

  • preparing purchase order and data based on demand planning / supplier requirements
  • liaising directly with suppliers to ensure products are produced, shipped and delivered correctly
  • tracking and reporting outstanding shipments, products, containers etc.
  • coordinating data with sales / purchasing / customer service and management teams
  • liaising with key account managers on regular stock, one-off and promotional product sales

The Company

Our London based client is one of Europe’s leading importers and distributors of quality textile products from around the world. They operate from two 25,000 sq.m.+ warehouses and their own dedicated sourcing offices / fulfilment centres in China and India.

The Person

You will have experience in a logistics, supply chain, distribution and/or warehousing environment ideally within the textiles industry. With strong project management skills, stock and demand planning, your supply chain knowledge will include:

  • applied maths / statistics use to create forecasts
  • experience in product forecasting and planning
  • developing SQL queries, report writing etc.
  • ability to think analytically and creatively
  • IT skills e.g. Excel / Microsoft Dynamics Nav / Structured Query Language
