Fixed Term Contract 6-8 months                                    £45k per annum FTE

Home based Software Developer needed for rapidly growing local company in North Somerset

The Role

As Software Developer you will work as part of a small team (currently remotely) on our cloud based software platform. Building software for clients, and providing application support you will liaise with users to identify and resolve problems / issues. Your responsibilities will include:

• involvement in software lifecycle ( specification / design / implementation / testing & support )
• working to deliver customer enhancements
• product testing and appropriate modifications
• liaising with other members of the development support team

The Company

Our client is an established company with a rapidly growing client base supporting individuals to work in administration within the professional services sector. They provide a cloud based software platform with formatted legal documents to be downloaded for use by associates / franchisees to access and use for their customers. Through their Franchise & Network Models, they help new people enter the industry to build their own rewarding careers and financial security.

The Person

As Software Developer, you will have experience in a similar role. With a strong knowledge of IT / computer science / software engineering, you will enjoy solving problems through your natural curiosity and “growth” mind-set. You will be able to translate your solutions into code fluently and work well both independently and as part of a team.

You must be proficient in the following technical areas:

• HTML / CSS / Javascript, in particular JQuery and related components
• PHP 7.2 or above
• MYSQL / MariaDB

You will also need the following:

• ability to work in a small team ( remotely for the foreseeable future )
• good communication skills – verbal and written
• ability to learn quickly.
