Sustainability & ESG Manager needed for successful technology focused, London based business

The Role

As Sustainability & ESG Manager you will drive change across the organisation, taking responsibility for implementation of an already progressed ESG strategy, reporting to key stakeholders on progress & future opportunities to achieve and improve upon current targets. Key accountabilities are:

• manage overall ESG disclosure approach & delivery
• advise on implementation of current / emerging external ESG disclosure frameworks & guidelines
• monitor & report on portfolio sustainability performance / progress against sustainability objectives
• provide proactive reporting for utilities & waste consumption for each workspace
• provide year-end reporting in the Annual Report suite, ESG reporting and additional disclosures
• coordinate internal / external assurance & reporting governance
• provide competitor & industry analysis to ensure ESG strategy remains competitive and innovative
• develop client facing sustainability initiatives & organize ESG related events
• respond to requests from rating & reporting agencies / current or prospective investors / stakeholders

Our London based client is building a new team for their head office.  It is home to a fast growing and diverse workforce.

The Person

As Sustainability & ESG Manager you will have a relevant qualification ( Sustainability / Environmental / Earth Sciences / Responsible Business) and/or career experience in a similar role and knowledge of complex programme management / strategic transformation. Ideally you have professional ESG experience within Commercial Real Estate / Built Environment sector and you will also need:

• knowledge of employee sustainability schemes ( B-Corp / WELL / BREEAM )
• ability to engage / educate multiple stakeholder groups (C-Team / Heads of dept / building managers)
• exceptional written and oral communication skills: articulate, assertive and confident
• self motivation and results driven
• ability to work independently and as team
• Contractor management / Office space knowledge
• experience of reporting tools and platforms ( MS / Power BI )
