Fixed term contract role until end April 2022.  Trading & Pricing Analyst for market disrupting digital energy company in Bath

The Role

As Trading and Pricing Lead you will work on implementation of a new pricing platform / forecasting tool from third-party providers, taking responsibility for both contract negotiations and project implementations. You will also be responsible for:

  • managing upcoming phases of ETRM system implementation
  • scoping / managing data-warehousing projects of trading and pricing related data
  • managing / supporting development of small team of analysts & placements students
  • meetings with sales team / business founders on tariff strategies
  • providing insight from a trading and gross margin perspective
  • maintain overview of trading and hedging position of existing portfolio
  • working with Data Science team to improve customer forecasting and customer segmentation

The Person

As Trading & Pricing Analyst you will have experience in a similar role within the energy supply business, and in a highly quantitative role within trading & pricing. You will also have:

  • experience scoping / designing data structures and models,
  • experience managing projects supported by third-party / in-house data & technical experts
  • knowledge of Python (mainly Pandas), SQL, Tableau, Excel, MS Office tools & Google Suite

This is a fixed term contract until 30th April 2022. Immediate start

This role can either be worked from the office or home or a mixture of both.
