They are now seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to join their established engineering team on the continental shift pattern. What you’ll be doing

  • TPM, Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance on a wide array of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical machinery and equipment
  • Self-manage your individual workload, through effective time management & task prioritization
  • Root-cause analysis to minimize reoccurrence of faults and failures
  • Ensuring a rigorous adherence to Health & Safety practices and protocols
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all work undertaken to support departmental auditing
  • Ad-hoc basic site maintenance (e.g. supporting machinery and equipment installations)
  • Contribute to the collective knowledge & development of maintenance engineering team

What you’ll need

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of maintenance engineering (either bias), preferably in a heavy industrial or similar background
  • A relevant industry-recognized engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds)
  • Excellent knowledge & experience of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Conversant with current electrical wiring regulations (e.g. 17th or 18th Edition)
  • Experience of Control systems & PLC fault-finding
  • Able to read and apply technical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Experience of power presses, operating MEWP, overhead cranes and forklift trucks (desirable)
  • Sound understanding of Health and Safety practices & Quality Management
  • Computer literate (e.g. good understanding of Microsoft software)
