MEGT in conjunction with The Arnott’s Group, are seeking a 1st Year Fitter & Turner Apprentice. You’ll work with a diverse team who align with our values and are passionate and empowered to perform at pace and achieve big things. Alongside genuine people, you’ll enable the local production of quality products including Tim Tams, Campbells Soup, Shapes, V8 juice, Vita-Weat, Scotch Fingers and many, many more…. which you also get to enjoy.
The Opportunity
Your duties will include.
- Maintain plant and equipment in a food production environment
- Learn machine installations and modifications
- Respond to equipment breakdowns
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance
- Fabricate and weld components for plant equipment
- Support production teams to minimise downtime and resolve faults
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements
The Ingredients for Success
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role:
- Punctual, reliable, and energetic with a strong work ethic
- Excellent mathematical skills and keen attention to detail
- A strong focus on safety
- Certificate II in Engineering (preferred, but not essential)
- A valid Driver’s Licence and vehicle
- White Card
- Successful completion of a Pre-Employment Medical Check
