Snapshot: Lead Cardiac Sonographer – Adelaide
Role Type: Lead Cardiac Sonographer, part-time, adult echocardiography focus.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality adult transthoracic echocardiography in an outpatient cardiology setting.
- Lead and coordinate daily workflow of the cardiac sonography team, with support from other clinical leads.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and capability development within the team.
- Manage administrative duties including timesheets, leave, and booking templates.
- Work closely with cardiologists and clinic staff to support patient flow and timely reporting.
- Contribute to protocol development, quality improvement, and service standardisation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and best-practice implementation.
Requirements:
- Qualified Cardiac Sonographer with accredited sonography qualifications.
- ASAR registration, or eligibility for registration.
- Strong adult echocardiography experience in cardiology, private practice, or hospital settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with high clinical standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative team focus.
- Commitment to patient-centred care, clinical excellence, and team development.
- Willingness to travel to multiple sites, including regional clinics, as part of a rotational roster.
