Salary: AUD38 - AUD42 per annum + salary sacrifice

The Opportunity:

Our client is one of Australia’s high quality, leading Aged Care Providers with various facilities across the whole of Perth where they provide Low, High and Dementia specific care as well as Extra Services.

Situated in the Northern Suburbs of Perth in Edgewater, this beautiful small 33 Bed quaint facility which is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The Aged Care Facility is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse who is happy to cover 4-5 night shifts a week as a permanent employee where you will get paid for holidays and personal leave along with salary sacrifice.

We will consider RNs who are from other clinical environments outside of aged care as full training will be given.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide high quality, safe and effective nursing care that aligns with individual resident preferences and best practice
  • Ensure aged care standards are met and adhered too
  • Coach, mentor and supervise all staff on night shift including carers
  • Undertake clinical, social and self-care assessments if necessary
  • SIRS - management and reporting
  • Ensure all care plan documentation is completed with appropriate strategies implemented
  • Anticipate residents’ changing health needs and initiate further assessments or referrals
  • Support residents by addressing queries, comments, suggestions, or concerns
  • Complete assessments where applicable 

 

Skills and experience required:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly focused on person centred care practice
  • Nursing qualification and current professional AHPRA registration
  • Ideally experienced in Aged Care and working with people who have cognitive impairments
  • Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and Accreditation is desirable
  • Knowledge of and experience in ACFI (Aged Care Funding Instrument) is desirable
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
  • Current influenza and COVID vaccinations notifications (or approved exemptions)
