The Exciting Opportunity:
We are looking for passionate and talented AHPRA Registered Nurse who loves working night shifts in aged care looking after the elderly. Our client is looking to fill 7 PM SHIFTS A FORTNIGHT at their Innaloo Facility working:
- Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
- Week 2 – Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday (+50% shift loading) and Sunday (+75% shift loading)
On a day to day basis you awill be responsible for:
- Provide high quality, safe and effective nursing care that aligns with the individual residents’ preferences in line with the individuals care plans
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident care
- Responsible for all residents on night shift
- Contribute in the allocation of workload to ensure quality care is received by all residents
- Anticipate residents’ changing health needs and manage requirements appropriately
- Deal with any crisis situations during night shift and alert relevant services and families
- Support residents and their families by responding to queries and feedback in liaison with the Clinical Care Manager
- Attending to wound care
- Safe administration of medication
- Maintaining clinical documentation to a high standard in a timely & accurate manner
- Adhere to clinical accreditation standards
The Successful Candidate:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Experience in residential aged care highly desirable
- Able to commit to 7 shifts a fort night
- Full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance
- Passionate about taking care of residents in their twilight years
- Highly organised, work well under pressure and have strong planning skills
- Able to identify clinical risk in the aged care setting
- Flexible in responding to changing resident needs
