They have an enviable project portfolio of dynamic, cutting-edge, high-profile projects which are spread around Australia.  We are currently recruiting for a talented and passionate HR Advisor who has gained valuable experience in a similar position within a construction contracting environment.

This is an all-encompassing hands-on position where you will play a key role in supporting major projects and senior management in the smooth running of projects through skilled execution of the HRM function.

What is involved?

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic strong HR Generalist who can step up to the responsibility expected in this position and bring a high level of competency and skill to the business. You will spend 3 days of the week working at Corporate Head Office in Northbridge and the other 2 days based at their project office in Innaloo.

The purpose of the HR Advisor role is to support Project leadership teams by providing proactive, progressive and best practice HR guidance on people matters.  The role will also support the corporate HR team to deliver people initiatives that support business objective

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:

• Managing recruitment and onboarding activities
• Provide generalist HR advice for all transactional matters
• Employee relations & performance management coaching
• Provide advice to line managers – coaching and mentoring to help them develop additional skills, tools and competencies
• Deal with all other ER related issues – with both blue and white collar employees in the construction industry including investigations
• Deal with some IR related matters such as “Right of Entry” to site
• Internal & external stakeholder liaison

Selection Criteria:

To succeed in this exciting HR Advisor position, you will need to demonstrate:

• HR qualification or relevant qualification
• 5+ years’ strong HR Generalist experience
• Strong people skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels and with people from all walks of life
• High level of experience dealing with ER issues with blue collar employees
• A real ‘team player’ in every sense of the word and lead by example
• Passionate about people and delivering positive HR outcomes
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise
• Ability to work autonomously
• Must be able to work in Northbridge and Innaloo
