Our Client:

Work for one of Australia’s leading, multi-national healthcare providers who have a very large private hospital network. You will be based at their high profile, multi-speciality teaching hospital which is owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care, Australia's largest private hospital operator that runs 72 private hospitals and day surgery units in the country

The Exciting Position:

Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor who is ready for the next step up the ladder.  As part of the dynamic team of HR Business Partners, you will support the State HR Manager of Western Australia in providing expert HR advice, coaching and service delivery in all areas relating to employment and HR issues, including people management, development of front-line managers, complex case management, change management and cultural leadership.

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:

  • Provide consulting advice and guidance to managers on a broad range of people related issues such as:
    • support the achievement of relevant departmental and organisational KPIs
    • workforce planning and consultation processes
    • performance management
    • absence management
    • engagement and retention
    • employee wellbeing
    • employment relations matters
  • Instrumental in enabling a leader led People Caring for People culture across the business, that ensures a positive end to end employee experience.
  • Works closely with key internal stakeholders, to drive operational excellence
  • Deliver efficient and effective HR/IR services to the business
  • Provide professional human resource and industrial relations advice and support to staff and managers, including, but not limited to investigation and resolution of complex disputes, grievances and disciplinary matters.
  • Represent the employer at a FW Commission or to the Ombudsman as required.
  • Provide advice on the interpretation of awards, policies and procedures, employment legislation and enterprise agreements
  • Generate reports and provide data informed risk analysis of employee related matters
  • Develop and deliver training/education in HR related topics

 

Skills and Experience:

  • 2-3 years minimum relevant experience in a similar senior or HR BP role with full generalist experience in a large, complex organisation, preferably in a unionised work environment
  • Would consider an experienced Senior HR Advisor who ready for the next step up the ladder – must have experience dealing with ER and IR related matters
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience effectively managing investigations, employee concerns, discipline matters and complex case management
  • Proven effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills with a wide group of stakeholders
  • Desirable experience – dealing in matters before the FW Commission and/or Ombudsman
  • Proven ability to quickly build effective working relationships and credibility to provide advice, support and coaching to our leadership team
  • Experience in the healthcare industry highly regarded
