Our client is a market leader in their field and they work across a broad range of industry sectors including mining, civil and construction.  They are winning some very exciting projects and their business has grown from strength to strength.  They now find themselves in a position where they are in need of an experienced Project & Management Accountant to join their successful business.   This is a great opportunity which offers variety whilst working in a thriving business.

 

The What – The Exciting Opportunity:

This is a very important requirement which requires an accounting qualification or CA/CPA (or working towards this)

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

  • Daily, weekly and monthly financial accounting, data entry, analysis and reporting
  • Liaise daily with stakeholders to ensure all project related information is correct
  • Analysis and verification of labour hours, logistics, production and procurement statistics
  • Prepare headcount and project budgets and forecasts, performing the associated accounting, including cost allocations
  • Producing monthly detailed cash flow forecasts and reports Day-to-day management of all balance sheet and profit and loss
  • Prepare weekly payroll after timesheet approvals
  • Provide high quality analytical support to drive viable business decisions
  • Ensuring all ATO lodgements are made, along with associated monthly payroll tax calculations & lodgements, and quarterly PAYG instalments
  • Support the FC to complete GST accounting, and BAS and FBT submissions
  • Presentation of monthly financial results to Financial Management Team
  • Weekly cashflow management and reporting
  • Oversee and/or perform the accounts payable related transactions
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reviews and reconciliations for bank accounts, assets, liabilities, payroll liabilities, employee obligations, other provisions
