Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse looking to make a positive impact on the lives of elderly residents? We are seeking skilled Shift-Filling Aged Care Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team to support our clients across metro Melbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and professional environment, where you can use your clinical expertise to enhance the quality of care for older Australians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to aged care residents in line with individual care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as per medical orders.
- Monitor, assess, and document residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
- Assist in creating, implementing, and evaluating care plans.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the broader healthcare team.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and quality standards.
- Act as a mentor for junior nursing staff and support care staff.
- Be adaptable and available to fill shifts as required, providing continuity of care.
Key Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous experience in aged care is essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused approach to care.
- Ability to manage a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Valid National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Flexibility in working various shifts (morning, afternoon, and night shifts).
- Valid driver's licence and means of transport essential.
