Title:  Network Consultant

Type: Contract – Project Work – around 20 hours one month, and then maybe 0 a next

Schedule: Ad Hoc Hours (As Needed) – mainly remote, and flexible hours

Job Description

This role will focus on supporting high-level network configurations, Meraki systems, firewalls, and Azure infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with the IT team and assist on various projects, ensuring the smooth operation of our network and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Management:
  • Assist in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Meraki systems, firewalls, and network infrastructure.
  • Ensure optimal network performance, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with the network team to identify and resolve network issues, monitor traffic, and perform routine network maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including firewalls, Meraki systems, and IP routing.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services (e.g., networking, compute, storage, security).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience with VPN, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and network security protocols.
  • Knowledge of best practices in cloud infrastructure management and disaster recovery.
