Are you a motivated and reliable individual looking for a career in the Defence Industry? MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients for an Electronics & Communications Apprentice in Rockingham WA!

About the role:

This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in:
  • Maintain workshop and prepare technician kits; manage inventory and administrative tasks.
  • Perform planned maintenance, fault finding, testing, and validation on RF/communication systems, while supporting technical staff with general duties.
  • Assist with electronics repairs, soldering, and electronic configuration.
  • Work safely in confined spaces and at heights; support technicians on-site; occasional paid overtime.
What we’re looking for - Skills & Experience
  • Technically minded with a passion for hands-on work, problem-solving, critical thinking, and strong maths skills.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces, with a strong focus on safety.
  • Reliable, mature, and professional attitude with respect for instructions, company policies, and clients.
  • Holds a valid driver’s licence and is willing to travel between sites; Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets are a plus or willingness to obtain them.
