Are you a motivated and reliable individual looking for a career in the Horticulture Industry? MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients for an Apprentice in Balwyn North VIC!
About the role:
This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in:
- Maintain sports grounds, including turf wicket preparation and general sports asset upkeep.
- Operate mowers for greens, tees, fairways, and roughs, and perform daily course preparation tasks.
- Apply chemicals and fertilisers, renovate turf surfaces, and carry out turf repairs and irrigation work.
- Support improvement projects and operate machinery, including tractors, while maintaining garden beds.
What we’re looking for:
- An interest in horticulture and a willingness to work outdoors in all conditions
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a willingness to ask questions and learn on the job
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in horticulture or turf maintenance
- Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic with a team-focused attitude
- A Valid Driver’s Licence
