About the role:

This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in:

  • Help maintain and improve council parks, sports fields, and facilities to ensure they are safe, clean, and well-kept.
  • Carry out gardening tasks such as mowing, weeding, planting, mulching, and general landscape upkeep.
  • Operate and maintain equipment like ride-on mowers and small machinery, reporting any faults or safety issues.
  • Support environmental and safety standards while working as part of a team to deliver high-quality maintenance services.

What we’re looking for - Skills & Experience

  • Someone reliable and responsible, who can complete tasks on time and work safely with minimal supervision.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions when needed, especially on the job.
  • Experience using tools and machinery such as ride-on mowers, trucks, hand tools, and pesticide units safely and effectively.
  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence is essential, and a heavy vehicle drivers’ licence is desirable.
